Hearing Sounds

With the children very quiet and ready with paper and pencil, the teacher drops each of a collection of objects onto a hard surface.
She asks, "Which of these do you hear?"
paper clip
[small/large] nail
bean bag
sponge
cup hook
[small/large] washer
eraser
etc.
The children draw a picture of the object dropped, label it, and record whether or not they heard it land on the hard surface.
